Overview of The ARTAS® Procedure

So how does the ARTAS® Robotic Hair Transplant work? Not all of your hair is subject male pattern baldness. For most people, the hair on the sides and back of the scalp is permanent hair. With the help of the ARTAS Robotic System, your physician transplants this permanent hair into thinning areas. Once transplanted, this hair will begin to grow in about six months.

This outpatient procedure generally takes about half a day. A local anesthetic is used, and many patients watch a movie or listen to music during the procedure. Since the procedure is minimally invasive, recovery is quick, and patients often return to work in a day or two.
